Project Description
An interactive GIS project using ArcGIS Experience Builder to explore route planning and trip analysis. This project involved visualizing real-time distances and estimated travel times for both driving and walking routes, demonstrating the complexity of multi-modal transportation planning. The platform enabled dynamic route plotting with multiple stops, connecting food establishments with retail stores to simulate real-world journey scenarios.
My Role & Responsibilities
Utilized ArcGIS Experience Builder to create interactive route analyses, plotted multi-stop pathways, tested alternative routes for efficiency, and analyzed how travel times fluctuate between transportation modes. Visualized precise distances and durations to understand differences between walking and driving routes.
Outcomes & Impact
Successfully demonstrated the power of GIS technology in transportation planning and urban design. The project highlighted practical applications for delivery services, tourism, and commuter planning by calculating efficient routes and optimizing travel time. Gained hands-on experience with interactive spatial analysis and decision-making tools, including understanding the impact of road networks versus pedestrian pathways.
